EcoSmart Fire C-UL US Listed

The arena of innovation and invention is an exciting and fast paced environment that pushes companies in many unique and challenging directions. First and foremost is the direction of compliance to existing rules and regulations - quite a contradiction of terms really when you invent something that is new, and then have to comply with something that is old - nevertheless, a road we had to travel.

After over 3 years of working with Underwriters Laboratories in the USA we now have C-UL US Listing on almost our entire collection.

Specific requirements for models sold with the C-UL US Listed symbol include:

• utilisation of appropriately marked two litre burner
• inclusion of the Wind Screen Static at all times
• installation into a fixed secure position using the instructions and fixing supplied with each model.

Which models are C-UL US Listed?

All of the Renovator Range is C-UL US Listed (excluding 350 and 1800 models).
All of the Designer Range (excluding Coffee Table, Layer Table, Retro, Zeta, Q and Igloo) is C-UL US Listed.
All of the Grate Range is C-UL US Listed.
The Burner Kits are not C-UL US Listed as they are not capable of being tested under Subject 1370 as their structure falls outside of the existing scope. We are working with Underwriters Laboratories to expand the scope if possible.

Important:


For The Fire Company, C-UL US Listing is a bonus, it is not a specific requirement for the product nor many of our customers.  The use of a 2 Litre Burner over a 5 Litre Burner certainly isn't because of any concerns we have about the safety of the Burner One (given it has been tested and approved by various other testing bodies around the world) - it's just all that Underwriters Laboratories were capable of approving given the scope of Subject 1370, the testing platform used for this type of product.

If you are not specifically after a C-UL US Listed model then all of our collection is available and have been tested under various other regulations and standards.
