Invention History
The EcoSmart™ Fire has evolved from a simple but proven concept - that of the 'spirit stove', which has been around for more than 30 years. The renowned culinary experience of fondues utilise the same technique. Using this concept as the basis, The Fire Company was driven to create a new, innovative style of fireplace with three key focuses:
Lifestyle
To reinstate the open fire as a centerpiece in the home, enhancing social interaction in a manner which is applicable to city living and time constraints - and which isn't detrimental to the environment.
Design
To provide consumers with unprecedented flexibility and choice.
Warmth
To capitalise on a modern, renewable fuel which could be used to effectively and efficiently heat residential and business premises.
The EcoSmart™ Fire significantly improves on other forms of heating, such as gas, wood and electric. Unlike traditional fireplaces, they don't require any form of permanent fixture or fitting, such as a flue for ventilation or a permanent gas connection. As with its 'predecessor' (the 'spirit stove'), the EcoSmart™ Fire is fuelled by Denatured Ethanol, an ethanol-based fuel which is an environmentally friendly, renewable energy. In addition, they offer outstanding design flexibility previously unavailable to the consumer.
